The Nonspeaking CommUnity Consortium (NCC) invites you to:
Change. Nonspeaking, minimally speaking and unreliably speaking individuals are on a transformative quest to synchronize mind and motor. Starting with the development of the motor skills to spell and building to whole body, purposeful movement, this epic transformation can be described as MOTORMORPHOSIS!
The mission of the NCC is to promote access and communication choice for nonspeaking individuals through education, research and advocacy. CommUnity members from technological, service, self-advocacy and academic perspectives will engage attendees in a unique two day conference in support of this mission.

Do you have any recommendations for lodging? There are several great options; most of which are in walking distance. Most offer amenities our community often requests like kitchenettes, multiple suite rooms, cost considerations, free breakfast/evening social and pools.

Do local hotels offer airport shuttle service? They offer all of our guests complementary shuttle service to and from Dulles Airport (IAD), door 2H. To find out when and where you can catch the shuttle please call your hotel. They will confirm the location the shuttle stops to pick up guests and approximately how long until the shuttle arrives.
Do you have recommendations for transportation and/or parking? . In general, hotel, airfare, train and car rental rates are best obtained based on individual needs and preferred vendors. Onsite parking at the conference venue is included in your admission. As a part of the ECTC Dulles “campus advantage\" the training facility/hotels offer a FREE area shuttle to/from all of our partner hotels, O\'Malley\'s Pub, local business, shops, grocery, and restaurants.
Can I attend with my student or child? Please do! We will not offer respite care, but seminars and break out sessions are geared toward all participants; nonspeaking communicators, family and professionals. Letter board practitioners will be on hand for practical application sessions. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Can my spouse, paraprofessional or home aide attend the conference with me? Yes! However, each individual attendee must register to participate in this event.

Are the facilities accessible and friendly? Located minutes from Dulles Airport with extensive parking, the ECTC is flexible and accessible with outstanding technological features that aim to ensure all participants are comfortable.
What identification is required for admission? Admission will require your printed ticket from EventBrite and one form of photo ID. Family member or communication partner identification for those under 18 will be suitable.
I cannot attend this event. Will you offer a live stream or recorded option for attendance? Thank you for your interest! We will not offer live stream or recorded attendance option. This request is a bit advanced for our first conferences; the conference committee will review available technology for subsequent conferences.
What is the cancellation policy? Before June 1: 50% refund Ticket is transferrable to another participant with no additional fee if executed no later than July 15 via firstname.lastname@example.org.
